John Beswick - Shop
livepages::jquery();?>Since it was established in 1894 Beswick has become a famous English name associated with fine ceramic models and gifts. The Gold Street works in Longton Stoke-on-Trent produced a wealth of lifelike animal pieces that were popular and collected by many.
In 1948 John Beswick secured the right to reproduce a range of 10 Beatrix Potter earthenware characters, and in 1952 the Company began manufacturing a range of Disney characters. The character studies from that time became highly sought-after by collectors.
In 1969, the Beswick business was sold to Royal Doulton, production was continued until 2002, and the Gold Street works was demolished in 2003. In 2004 the Beswick name and product design rights became part of the Dartington Crystal group of brands. Made using the same techniques in modelling hand- painting, the current Beswick collection continues the tradition of fine quality and detail in every piece.
